About the Author

I, Vaughn Highfield, am a GMA-nominated writer with a strong interest in the world of video games and the industry that surrounds it.

While I could reel off my interests in the spheres of music, film and books, I’d far rather tell you where you can find my work.

I write in a freelance position at the immensely popular Pocket Gamer, as well as occupying a role as Content Editor at independent site TheGamersHub. I’ve also contributed to TheSixthAxis, the GAME blog, and various other publications such as Sick Chirpse, The Skinny Eye and The Graduate Times.

I also work in a full-time position at Terrapinn, running the Total Customer and Total Payments websites, providing B2B articles around marketing, customer engagement and payments technology.

I’ve recently occupied a consulting and PR role for Magdala Media in the production of its first Game Expo Scotland, taking place next October 4th and 5th.

I started my writing journey back at the University of East Anglia studying Modern History and writing for the student newspaper Concrete. It was here that I undertook the role of section editor for the games and technology pages, and received a 2:1 BA Hons degree – with my dissertation receiving a 1st due to my excellent research and writing skills.

If you’d like to get in touch with me about any writing projects, prospective freelance work, or queries, please don’t hesitate to contact me on my email vehighfield@gmail.com or on Twitter @Starfox118. You can even find me on the rarest of places: LinkedIn.

Cheers,

Vaughn Highfield
